DO I MIND
It was early 2015 when I picked up this diary WHICH became my inseparable companion ever since. Initially whenever I read something interesting somewhere, I jotted it down in the diary. AT TIMES I got inspired by a line or something else WHICH prompted me to draw or doodle. THERE WERE times WHEN I picked it up just out of boredom. Before long I realized it turned into a WAY of release for me. I feel a sense of CALM when I’m with my diary. I feel drawn to it either when I’m inspired or when I have some free time at hand and pages start to fill up. Soon it became my friend, my PART OF JOURNEY.
I feel truly grateful to countless authors and artists whose different writings and artworks have deeply influenced and motivated me to scribble and draw. Particularly, the works of William Blake and Jay Griffiths TRANSCENDED me to be in UNION with my self, WITH my soul.
The texts in this collection are sourced from various writings except a few which are mine. They MAJORLY FACTORED as inspirations for the drawings AND DRAWINGS TOO emerged AS INSPIRATION FOR TEXTS. No matter what, the mutual dialogues between the texts and the drawings took place SPONTANIOUSLY WHICH I enjoyed most.
